Filling up windshield washer in my car; washer fluid or bottled water?

I have a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis LS and I need to fill up the windshield washer fluid reservoir, would it hurt anything if I put bottled water, say distilled water, in the reservoir instead of washer fluid?
