It seems like religious people are like abused wives, you keep taking a beating but keep defending him?

I don't know what kind of mentality religious people have but if a god truly exists and he lets all these terrible things happen in the world...yet you still defend him. It saddens me. It's like watching a woman defend her sbag husband who keeps beating her.
