Navy search and rescue to a Navy SEAL?

So im suppose to be going into the navy DEP this month with a navy SEAL challenge contract and i was kinda thinking about asking my recruiter if i could think about starting out as a rescue swimmer and then put in a request for BUD/s, Is that possible? Please help
